each moment represents a brief moment in time, that will never exist again. but with something i call ’sound photographs‘, i try to capture their essence and keep them alive forever – with the power of sound
Bad Tommy was nominated for the Sound Cinema Düsseldorf in the category „Acoustic Stories“ and deals with my trip through New York. Except the guitar, all the sounds were recorded in New York. This track is supposed to aurally reconstruct my feelings and impressions of one of the biggest metropolis on Earth.
Homesick“ deals with the escape from one’s own home without leaving it. The title focuses on the word „sick“ in the sense of illness. This is how the desire for new experiences is formulated in order to break out of the always familiar (auditory) environment. In cooperation with the Icelandic double bass player Bára Gísladóttir, a concept was developed that should represent the escape into new aesthetic experiences using headphones and noise canceling.
