A photojournalist is threatened by right-wing extremist groups in her Serbian home and flees to Germany with her daughter. But then she also experiences increasing strong threats and attacks in her new home.

About the Music 

The creation of the film score for ‚ISTINA‘ required an intense exploration of the cultural nuances of Serbian tradition. Deniz Mahir Kartal’s expertise was invaluable in decoding and interpreting these complex musical elements. The close cooperation made it possible to identify specific melodic and rhythmic elements that are deeply rooted in Serbian culture. It was important to find the subtle balance of appropriately respecting cultural roots while still creating a score that seamlessly melded with the emotions of the characters and the narrative structure.
